so anyway, football season continued today and the san francisco forty niners almost won and continued their undefeated season, but unfortunately they lost, though it was a close game and they put up much more of a fight than most would expect them to put up against the rams. just wait until next year when theyre dominating their division by winning against the rams, cardinals, and seahawks. they'll go into the playoffs as the top team in the nfc. i guarantee it. whether they win it all or not im not sure, but it certainly is a possibility.
(completely random aside note: i bet bud geracie from the san jose mercury news is a total fuckin stoner)
The forty niners are gonna finally get some national attention next week with they kick the jets ass on monday night. then maybe fans everywhere will start to take this once dominant but recently weekened team.
jeff garcia definitely has the talent to lead this team to a superbowl. he is very good scrambling outside the pocket, almost as good as steve young did. he is decent at reading defenses and a very accurate passer. the downside to garcia is that he doesnt throw tightest spiral, and cant throw as hard or far as steve young or joe montana could. but he is accurate, and he's got good receivers. another upside to garcia is that he spreads the ball around; he doesnt just throw to 1 or 2 guys.
terrell owens is a great receiver. one of the best in the league. i would say the only receivers better than owens are randy moss, marvin harrison, and jimmy smith (and even with smith its debateable). he can make the big play, he runs good routs, good hands, very physical. now that rice is gone across the bay, owens takes over rice's flanker position
