"Still in Shock over September 11th"

Fuck man, it still blows my mind, the image of the towers collapsing...still just blows my mind...
What did I do that day? During the day I stayed home and just watched
the news for like maybe
five or six hours, just following the days events, watching that
shocking footage over and over
throughout the day. That night I went over to Ron and Jim's apartment
and just hung out there
with the gang, smoked weed, and reflected on the days events. It
was like it was so shocking
that we just had to smoke some weed to reflect on it.
Fuckin' crazy shit....

Thinking back upon it now, its just like when I look back at the
events of September 11, 2001, I
think about the horrible, horrible thing that was done in that
many human lives were lost...but
I still dont look back on it as an attack on America (yes, I realize
that in reality it was, but
that isn't the way that my mind interprets it as, thus causing
my emotional reaction). I think
that those in charge of plotting this attack must certainly be
taken care of, as well as those
who are capable and hold a feasable threat against. But i don't
really think of it as an attack
against our freedom and way of life...I dont think that this is
because I take that for granted,
but maybe its because I believe that it is the way that all society
should be, and that it is
just right.I think the best way for the U.S. to lead the world
is just by example and a lot of
power. We shouldnt stick our nose in everyones business as much
as we do, but then again maybe
that is what keeps us in charge....
Anyway, enough political stuff...I don't like politics, its not
my role in society to be politically
active. I hate it when people reproach me for this, is it wrong
to think that the our whole
fuckin society (not the U.S., the world in general) is a big fuckin
joke. Its like so much of
our time and resources are wasted. Society can be so much more
advanced technologically. Everyone would
be content with their way of life, and we would continue to advance
as a civilation and accomplish
alot. I guess this is a form of communism, but it is a very very
extreme communism.
Its like if the entire world lived the same way as the U.S. (well
not exactly the same, there are some
things which aren't perfect here), by same I mean same freedoms,
as well as the amount of wealth which
is held by the middle/upper class here, and maybe...
I KNOW HOW IT CAN HAPPEN:

Expanding technology (TECHNOLOGY...AS DERIVED FROM SCIENCE) will
be able to increase the worlds resources.
By increasing resource, there is more wealth for everyone. In other
words, as more of the worlds
problems get solved, there will be less of a competitive need for
things. As there is less of a need
for things, power becomes more balanced throughout. That way, when
everyone is united, we can become more
technologically advanced.
