JOURNAL #87- 06/24/2008, 22:10
"E, New CD's, and More!"
-------------

I fuckin did e. yep. broke my rule of "nothing more except maybe shrooms" that i've had for a really fuckin long time. did nos too. Totally tripled the number that used to be 1.

Starting music now.

Gotta load the 1st cd for rippin

coldplay- pretty big early on, continuing to fly high. mainstream popularity

radiohead- rose up high over several albums. indie listener heros. mostly credible mainstream, gods to the indie crowd

u2- never big to the indie crowd. rose at a very steady rate, but grew for a very long periond of time (20+ yrs ???). not my thing but certainly respsectable.

all brits, notice? guess the brits music style fills a certain sound. lots of brit bands that i like

MUSE- wow if this were new muse it would get top priority. since its just live it doesnt, but shit maybe it should! yes. i totally should go to my original plan to watch the muse live dvd.

fuck its in my dvd player. i have to do that after some coldplay. as much as i've been looking ofrward to coldplayts new one i may have to give the muse dvd priority. maybe i need to skip my coldplay tribute and just go to the newstuff

listening to bloc party banquet as one of my
"opening bands", but had to cut them short to one song. next up is new coldplay (OMG!) (wow that was so gay to use the OMG acronym)

decided im totally going to do a 3 song (first three tracks) lineup.

im a firm believer that the first track (or oftentime first few tracks) can really creat a lasting impression of an album

but now to interrupt... COLDPLAY ("Cemetaries of London")

wow pretty messed up. drank a big strong beer today.

wow the music made me think it was raining outside.

ah not bad
just hit the "verse part"

was going to watch pans labyrinth tonigh. guess i wont. sounds pretty fuckin interesting though. its like i know the general idea and how its a crazy trip, but im not sure what kind of "feel" to expect of that movie... im pretty sure its somewhat dark, but is it dark because of its "real" side involving the spanish civil war, or because of the balance between the two and how it goes back and forth.

now listening to "lost!". the '!' is kinda cheesy. so far sounds like the "fix you" of viva la vida and... "fix you" had a sort of "religious, churchy" sound to it, and wasnt all that great. this seems to totally fit that niche. guess i can give them a mulligan on this one. pretty much every colplay album had some stuff that im not that into

now on "life in technicolor". after about a minute it reminds me of aracade fires song with that line "dont you know im god fearing man... dont want to work in a building downtown". after about 1:45 it feels better. nice general feel. kid of a more "modern" feel for coldplay now with the chime like sounds.i like the bass's presence though.

and wow. was it. totally thought it was building towards something and then just ended. doesnt ruin the song, still good. just kind of a let down in a situation like this.

and now. it is time. for muse. live. dvd. how FUCKIGN WAESOME!!!

(first time using textpad!!))

MUSE LIVE AWESOME! FUCK YEAH YEAHYEAHYEAH

(weird smile)
